Sega has released classic 16-bit roleplaying game Shining Force for iPhone. This slice of retro action can be yours for just £1.79.

Shining Force is a golden oldie RPG that was originally released for Sega Mega Drive way back in 1993 – 17 years ago. It’s a top-down game that casts you as a young warrior in charge of a band of cohorts as you try to bring peace back to the land of Rune.
Its story may be classic roleplaying cheese, but if you’re a gamer of a certain age, you may want to check out Shining Force on your iPhone for its nostalgia factor alone. The game is split into eight chapters and features 43 different monsters.

Shining Force is available form the App Store now for £1.79.
