Even though the Samsung Galaxy S II was just released, Samsung insiders have already tipped that the next iteration of the line, the Samsung Galaxy S III, will be released in the first half of 2012, along with a 4G-capable Samsung Galaxy Tab. The President of Samsung’s mobile devision, J.K. Shin, said that H1 2012 will be big for Samsung, and that we can expect new devices then, even though they’re very happy with the sales of the Galaxy S 2 and the interest in the 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch versions of the Galaxy Tab. The Symbian Anna update brings with it a host of changes, which will definitely be welcomed by all Symbian loyalists. First and foremost, the whole UI has been tweaked, with rounded and larger icons, so as to make it more touch friendly.
Other than the new icons, there is also a new and much improved web-browser on-board. While the browser is not up to Android or iPhone level, it still is pretty good. The Anna update will also bring a portrait based QWERTY text-input system for the N8. There will also be a ‘split view’ text input system, when entering text in web pages and apps. The music player and the photo gallery app have also got minor UI tweaks. All other Ovi apps on the phone like Ovi Maps, Music, and Ovi store have also been updated to the latest versions. The following have been publicly announced, reported or heavily rumored:

1. App Store: It seems like every company has or is about to launch an app store, so it should come as no surprise that we’re probably going to see one in Windows 8. There has been debate for months whether screenshots that have been leaked are fake.
2. ARM Processor Support: Indicating Microsoft is probably looking to position Windows 8 for tablet use as well, the company confirmed the OS will support ARM, the processor used mostly in embedded systems and mobile devices.
3. Factory Settings Restore: If your Windows computer has been hit with Trojans, worms or viruses, Windows 8 could have an option to restore it to its “factory settings” — like the daisy-fresh way it worked when you first started it up. Not long ago, Bell has officially announced that it would release the Motorola XT860 4G in Canada sometime “this summer.” Now Mobile Syrup claims to have the handset’s exact launch date, and that’s August 9 (next week).

The glasses free 3D experience is available in the United Kingdom via the LG Optimus 3D, but the LG Optimus 3D comes with Android 2.2 Froyo aboard, but will get updated to Gingerbread in the not too distant future, but just when will that be? Well LG has now apparently given out some info on that matter.
According to an article over on The Inquirer, they popped down to Canary Wharf to check out the LG Optimus 3D launch pods so they could check out the Android smartphone and its glasses free 3D experience and the tech men came forth with the info.

It’s been quite some time since we heard anything about the Motorola Droid Bionic, the device that had been delayed for what seems like an eternity, and past rumours have had it that the Droid Bionic may have been cancelled, but for those that may still be waiting for the Android handset to materialise, hang on in there because the Droid Bionic is coming.

Acer Iconia lovers were waiting eagerly for an up gradation in the OS of their favorite tab.
